Just come back from an NHS smoking cessation clinic with gum & instructions, feel a bit freaked out but I gotta stop before either 1. I die coughing, or 2. Smoking is banned in pubs. Gotta go back there for the next 5 weeks to report progress. Dreading going out on Saturday nite tho! Any good tips appreciated!

Cool Holidays! [Apr. 17th, 2004|03:29 pm]
[mood | sleepy]
[music |The Fall - Are you are missing winner]

Hi folks, its been a long while since my last post and I'm in a pretty good mood!

Just got back from spending a few days with Ellie at a cottage just over the Welsh border, it was totally cool apart from the weather which was totally not cool! I'm well tired as I got to bed at about 3.30am after v large drinking session and was up at 8.30am to come back home.

If anyone is interested in the 2 person cottage for a bit of a getaway we stayed at "The Coach House" found at http://www.bordercottages.co.uk , 5* posh place this! Really good!

It's not like me to brag but... [Jan. 29th, 2004|03:11 pm]
[mood | ecstatic]
[music |Ramones - Its Alive (PLAYING PRETTY LOUD AT THE MOMENT)]

I BLOODY FUCKIN PASSED MY EXAM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
God knows how but I managed to get 94.2%, the highest mark in the class, what a bloody swot eh??? so now I got an MCP qualification I gotta start working to get another one.

Had a nightmare getting home from Dudley yesterday, left training centre at 3.30pm, got home at 9.30pm possibly the worst and coldest day in my entire life. I even got off the bus to Dudley and walked to the bus station, the bus didn't pass me. When I got on the Walsall bus in Dudley it took 45 mins just to get out of the bus station and managed to skid diagonally all the way down Castle Hill breaking the red traffic lights at the bottom, how scary was that? When I got home the news said Castle Hill was closed as there had been a crash involving 4 buses. Just missed that one then.

Time to relax a while methinks....

On a noise bender [Jan. 20th, 2004|10:32 pm]
[mood | hyper]
[music |Carcass - Reek of Putrefaction (nice!)]

Don't quite know whats caused it but I'm listening to rather unhealthy amounts of Death/Doom/Crust Metal over the last few days, must be the stress of studying for my exam next Thursday (aaagh!!!)I don't feel sorry for the person who has to sit next to me on the bus though.

Can't believe its nearly a month since my last post, still recovering from the New Year bender in Prague, pretty place not sure if its supposed to be blurry though but at 80p a pint and 20 Marlboro Lights at £1.18 a pack I went a bit mad, come on it was sub zero temperatures and permanently snowing, saw all the usual sights, the gastronomic clock was a total disappointment,Charles Bridge is always heaving with tons of tourists armed with zoom lenses and odd musicians, one guy was playing greensleeves on the rims of wine glasses with varying amounts of water in them, cool! Spent an afternoon feeling squeamish in the medieval torture museum, impaling...straight to the point eh? Laughed uncontrollably at a male chastity belt which the museum had absolutely no idea where it came from or from what time period, I think they just put it there for a giggle. New Years Eve itself turned into total chaos need I say more?
Go to Prague now! all of you and take me with you, I will definately be going back hopefully sooner rather than later. Ho hum better get on with some work...
